Also known as the Zamboanga Peninsula and Basilan Administrative Region, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 9 is dedicated to uplifting the marginalized sectors and providing them with the support and resources they need to thrive.

As a regional office of the DSWD in the Philippines, they are responsible for implementing the policies and programs of the DSWD at the local level. From providing protection and care for children, women, and families to offering livelihood opportunities and disaster response, their range of services aims to impact the lives of the communities we serve positively.

The positions include Project Development Officer III (1), Social Welfare Officer II (2), Administrative Assistant II (3), Administrative Aide VI (1), Administrative Aide IV (1), Project Development Officer II (2), Project Development Officer II – Capbuild (6), Project Development Officer II (20), Project Development Officer II (System Coordinator) (1), Project Development Officer II (MCCT YDS Focal) (1), Project Development Officer II (MCCT YDS Focal/ Community Facilitator) (1), Project Development Officer II (Municipal Link) (12), Project Development Officer II (Community Facilitator) (5), and Training Specialist I (1).

Each position has different educational and experience requirements, as well as different salary grades and areas of assignment. Eligibility for each position also varies and can include Career Service Professional/ 2nd Level Eligibility, RA 1080 (Social Worker), Career Service Subprofessional/ 1st Level Eligibility, and more.

The required application documents include an application letter specifying the desired position, a Personal Data Sheet (PDS) form with a recent photo, photocopies of educational transcripts and diplomas, certificates of training, certificates of employment for relevant work experience, photocopies of any relevant eligibility, ratings, or licenses, and for non-government employees, a recent performance rating.
