If so, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) may be the perfect fit for you. BFP Region 11 is currently accepting applications for 109 Fire Officer 1 (FO1) positions as part of their Regular Recruitment CY 2023.
As a Fire Officer 1, you will be responsible for preventing and responding to fires, conducting regular inspections of buildings and facilities, providing education and training programs on fire safety and prevention, and assisting in disaster response efforts. The basic salary of a FO1 in BFP is PHP 29,668 per month, which includes base pay, cost of living allowance, and other mandated allowances such as the PNP-RSBSA (PNP Retiree and Separated Benefits and Security Agency) contribution, and hazard pay.
To become a Fire Officer 1 (FO1) in the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), applicants must meet certain general and minimum qualifications. These include being a citizen of the Philippines with good moral character, passing medical and drug tests, not having a dishonorable discharge or conviction for a crime involving moral turpitude, and being between the ages of 21 and 30.
Applicants must also meet specific physical requirements, including a height of at least 1.57 meters for males and 1.52 meters for females, and must weigh within five kilograms of the standard weight for their height, age, and sex.
In terms of education, applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute of learning and hold a Civil Service Commission (CSC) 2nd level eligibility. The BFP values education and requires its personnel to continually develop their skills through training programs and workshops.
To be eligible, applicants must be Filipino citizens of good moral character, free from dishonorable discharge, and have not been convicted of any offense or crime involving moral turpitude.
Applicants must be between 21 and 30 years old, with a height of at least 1.57 meters (male) or 1.52 meters (female), and a weight that is within five (5) kilograms of the standard weight corresponding to their age, height, and sex. They must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute of learning and a Civil Service Commission (CSC) 2nd level eligibility.
Interested and qualified applicants must submit a set of application folders containing various documents, including the Initial Evaluation Form (IEF), FO1 Applicant Requirement Checklist (ARc), and Checklist of eligibility, application letter addressed to F/SSUPT RICHARD V ARBUTANTE, MPSM, DSC, Regional Director, and authenticated copies of service record, transcript of records, college diploma, and second-level eligibility certificate.
They should also provide clearances from various agencies, including the Barangay, Police, MTC, RTC, and NBI. Applicants with height or age deficiencies must secure a Certificate of Waiver before applying.
Applications must be submitted personally at the Human Resource Management Section (HRMS), BFP Regional Office XI, with an office address at Leon Garcia corner Monteverde Sts., Davao City, starting from April 4 to April 21, 2023, at 5 pm. The documents must be authenticated by the issuing office, and incomplete application requirements will not be accepted.
Applicants should also submit a photocopy of their certificates of live birth, marriage certificates (if applicable), and driver’s license, as well as tax identification and PhilHealth forms. They must also undergo a neuro-psychiatric evaluation, medical examination, and drug test to determine their physical and mental health.
