As a Fire Officer 1, you will be responsible for preventing and responding to fires, conducting regular inspections of buildings and facilities, providing education and training programs on fire safety and prevention, and assisting in disaster response efforts. The basic salary of a FO1 in BFP is PHP 29,668 per month, which includes base pay, cost of living allowance, and other mandated allowances such as the PNP-RSBSA (PNP Retiree and Separated Benefits and Security Agency) contribution, and hazard pay.

To become a member of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in the Philippines, there are certain general and minimum qualifications that must be met.

You must be a citizen of the Philippines and possess good moral character, pass physical and mental health evaluations, have no dishonorable discharge from previous employment, and no convictions for moral turpitude.

As for minimum qualifications, a Bachelor’s degree and any of the following eligibilities are required: RA 1080, CS Professional, CS Fire Officer Exam, Presidential Decree No. 907 (Honor Graduates), or Officer-in-Charge Navigational Watch (MARINA).

You must also meet height and weight requirements, be between 21-30 years old upon appointment, and male applicants must be at least 5’2″ while females must be at least 5’0″.

The Bureau of Fire Protection in the Philippines is accepting applications for various positions, and interested and qualified applicants must submit their scanned documents in a pdf format through the provided link.

They must also submit a set of documents in a long red expanded folder with fastener, label, tabbings, and table of contents containing the necessary documents such as a handwritten/computerized personal data sheet, certificates, clearances, and other requirements. Applicants should also provide an ECD result reading from a cardiologist/internist and a serum pregnancy test (for female).

The application letter should be addressed to CSUPT LEONIDA V GUMANAB-ROSALES, Regional Director, indicating the position applied for. The deadline for the initial screening is from April 11 to April 21, 2023.

Applicants with incomplete documents will not be entertained. In case of an absence of authenticated documents, an affidavit of undertaking should be executed specifying the deadline for the submission of the required documents.
