By the virtue of the Letter of Instruction no.745 issued Sept 29, 1978, the Philippine Commission on the Promotion and Development of Sports SCUBA Diving was created by then, Former President Ferdinand E. Marcos.

The Philippine Commission of Sports Scuba Diving (PCSSD) is mandated to promulgate programs and projects geared to the development of the country as a premier diving area in Asia and to formulate rules, regulations, safety standards, and operating procedures to implement the development of Sports SCUBA Diving. The PCSSD manages many of the country’s recompression chambers and carries out routine spot checks on breathing air quality from the compressor of its members.

Strengthened by the Republic Act 9593 – Tourism Policy Act, Section 31:

  • 1. Attaching the PCSSD to the Department of Tourism
  • 2. Intensifying measures to provide the standard basic dive rules to all levels or kinds of divers
  • 3. To regulate SCUBA sports and technical diving in the country
  • 4. To coordinate closely with the Office of Tourism Standards and Regulations for accreditation processes

The Philippine Commission on Sports Scuba Diving (PCSSD) is looking for interested individuals to join our team. They are currently hiring for the following positions:

One (1) Administrative Officer V (SG-18)

  • Plantilla Item Number: ADOF5-1-2022

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree relevant to the job
  • Training: 8 hours of relevant training
  • Experience: 2 years of relevant experience
  • Eligibility: CS Professional/ Second Level Eligibility

One (1) Accountant II (SG-16)

  • Plantilla Item Number: A2-2-2022
  • Place of Assignment: Office of the Executive Director
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce/ Business Administration, Major in Accounting
  • Training: 4 hours of relevant training
  • Experience: 1 year of relevant experience
  • Eligibility: RA 1080 (CPA)

One (1) Administrative Officer IV – Human Resource Management Officer II (SG-15)
