The Philippines, a beautiful archipelago with over 7,000 islands, is known for its stunning beaches, rich culture, and warm hospitality.
But did you know that the country also boasts a modern and capable naval force that is tasked with safeguarding its maritime interests and territorial integrity?
The Philippine Navy is a vital component of the country’s national security apparatus, with a proud history of serving the nation and promoting peace and stability in the region.
Composed of a wide range of ships, aircraft, and other assets, the Navy operates effectively in various maritime environments, including specialized units like the naval special operations group, trained in underwater demolition and special warfare tactics.
With primary roles of protecting the country’s territorial waters and Exclusive Economic Zone from illegal activities and playing a key role in disaster response and humanitarian assistance operations, the Navy is committed to maintaining strong partnerships with other navies and coast guards in the region and around the world.
The Navy has announced its 1st Leg of Mobile Recruitment for CY2023, which will take place aboard Naval Operating Forces, giving potential candidates firsthand experience of what it’s like to serve in the Navy.
Surprisingly, the Philippine Navy is currently recruiting new officers and sailors for its Naval Officer Candidate Course (NOCC) and Sailor Basic Course (SBC).

To apply, candidates must provide an original and photocopy of their PSA Birth Certificate, Transcript of Records, and College Diploma, a 2×2 colored ID picture with white background, and an accomplished Application Form.
The NOCC and SBC are an opportunity to serve the country and protect the nation’s maritime interests while also offering personal and professional growth, travel, and a chance to make a difference.
