The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) has established both general and minimum qualifications that aspiring applicants must meet to be considered for the job.

To fulfill the general qualifications, applicants must exhibit outstanding moral character, possess robust physical and mental health, and have no record of dishonorable discharge or conviction for a crime involving moral turpitude.

Furthermore, they should be Filipino citizens and pass the neuro-psychiatric evaluation, medical examination, and drug test.

As for the minimum qualifications, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree and hold any of the following 2nd level eligibilities (PRC, MARINA, CSC Prof/ PD 907/ FOE).

They should also stand at least 1.57 meters or 5’2″ for males and 1.52 meters or 5’0″ for females, weigh no more or less than five (5) kilograms from the standard weight for their height, age, and sex, and be between the ages of twenty-one (21) and thirty (30) on the day of appointment or assumption of duty/oath of office.
