The Philippine Navy (PN) (Tagalog: Hukbong Dagat ng Pilipinas, lit. Sea Army of the Philippines) (Spanish: Armada de Filipinas, lit. Ejército de la Mar de la Filipinas) is the naval warfare service branch of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. It has an estimated strength of 24,500 active service personnel, including the 8,300-strong Philippine Marine Corps. It operates 82 combat vessels, 14 auxiliary vessels, 25 manned aircraft and 8 unmanned aerial vehicles. It shares the responsibility of patrolling the maritime borders with the Philippine Coast Guard, a formerly attached unit that became a separate maritime law enforcement agency in 1998. The Philippine Fleet is a branch of the countrys armed services. It also has land and some air capabilities. The mission of the Philippine Fleet is to organize, train, equip, maintain, and operate Fleet forces for naval operations in order to fulfill the Philippine Navy Mission. The Fleet prepares surface platforms, aircraft and special operations assets for the conduct of operations pertaining to internal security, maritime security, external defense, disaster response, and development assistance. It is also pursuing a modest capability upgrade as one of its objectives.
Interestingly, Philippine Navy will be conducting a Mobile Recruitment for Naval Officer Candidate Course (NOCC) in Luzon and Visayas. Hereunder is the tentative schedule of examination as follows:
- Iloilo City – 26 to 30 October 2022
- Tuguegarao City – 21 to 24 November 2022
AFPSAT Examinations, NP Screening, and other tests will take place in these areas for Mobile Recruitment.

Qualifications
- Natural-born Filipino Citizen
- Must be a graduate of any four-year Bachelors degree
- At least 21 years old but not more than 26 years and 6 months old on the date of admission
- Single and never been married, and has no child
- At least 5 feet tall both male and female
- Physically and mentally fit for training
- No tattoo
